I have been a parish councillor since 2012, and am currently Chairman. My particular interest is planning and I edited the Martley, Knightwick and Doddenham Neighbourhood Development Plan. I am also a member of the committee which is reviewing the future development of the playing field and the pavilion. I have lived in Martley since 1983 and both my children attended Martley Primary School and Martley High School. Before I retired, I was a Senior Lecturer in Developmental Disability Policy at the University of Birmingham. I still enjoy teaching with the University of the Third Age.
